This is a stunning 7 night tour in Connemara that takes you to the most remote and most beautiful parts of the west of Ireland, stopping each night in the most luxurious castles, country houses and hotels. Along the way, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of the region, enjoying locally-sourced cuisine and exclusive experiences that capture the essence of Irish hospitality.

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Dublin or Shannon Airport, followed by a transfer to a luxurious five-star accommodation in Galway. Spend the evening exploring the city’s medieval streets, lively pubs, and vibrant music scene before setting off on your cycling adventure. From the heart of Connemara, enjoy breathtaking views of the rugged mountains and serene Lough Corrib as you make your way to the charming village of Cong, home to The Quiet Man film location and the historic Cong Abbey. The next day, cycle along the scenic shores of Lough Mask to the lively town of Westport, where you can immerse yourself in Ireland’s warm hospitality. A loop ride along the Westport Greenway showcases stunning coastal views, rolling green hills, and the legendary islands of Clew Bay before you continue your journey south through the breathtaking Doolough Valley to the secluded Delphi Lodge, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of Connemara’s dramatic landscape.

From Delphi, follow the rugged coastline, taking in sweeping Atlantic views as you pass through the picturesque village of Letterfrack and visit the iconic Kylemore Abbey before reaching the vibrant town of Clifden. Your adventure continues at the magnificent Ballynahinch Castle, where you will spend two nights surrounded by woodlands, rivers, and mountains. A scenic loop ride takes you to the fishing village of Roundstone and the stunning white sands of Dog’s Bay Beach, offering some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Ireland. After a week of unforgettable cycling, cultural experiences, and gourmet dining, your journey concludes with a farewell breakfast before your transfer back to Dublin or Shannon Airport.

DAY 1 - Arrival - Galway (collection from airport)

Arrive to Dublin / Shannon Airport where you will be greeted and transferred to your 5 star accommodation in Galway. Spend the afternoon and evening exploring the narrow pedestrian medieval streets. Galway has an excellent selection of traditional Irish pubs, most of which will have music and story-telling in the summer evenings. Enjoy an evening meal in one of Galway’s finest restaurants before retiring for the night.

DAY 2 - Galway – Cong

After breakfast we will meet you at your hotel for the tour briefing and bike fitting after which, you will be transferred to your starting point in the heart of Connemara. As you set off, take in the breathtaking views of the Connemara mountains while gliding down into Maum. Along the way, admire the stunning vistas of Lough Corrib and its many picturesque islands. Arrive in the charming village of Cong, famously known as the filming location of The Quiet Man, starring Maureen O’Hara and John Wayne. Explore the historic Cong Abbey, founded in the 12th century, and the Monk’s House before unwinding for the evening. Your hotel for the night is The Lodge at Ashford Castle, where you’ll enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at Wilde’s Restaurant. Savor locally sourced, classically inspired dishes while soaking in the tranquil views over Lough Corrib.

DAY 3 - Cong – Westport

TThe day starts with a lovely cycle through the grounds of Cong Abbey, crossing the stone bridge and cycling through the forest. Enjoy beautiful views along the western shore of Lough Mask. Your destination today is the lively town of Westport, nestled on the west coast in County Mayo. This charming town offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, live music, and warm Irish hospitality.

DAY 4 - Westport loop

Spend the day immersing yourself in the breathtaking scenery of the Westport Greenway, a stunning trail that winds through some of Ireland’s most dramatic landscapes. As you journey along the route, enjoy panoramic views of the rugged coastline, rolling green hills, and the sparkling waters of Clew Bay, dotted with its legendary 365 islands. Along the way, stop to explore charming villages, ancient ruins, and hidden gems that showcase Ireland’s rich heritage and warm hospitality. After a day of exploration, return to the vibrant town of Westport, where you can unwind in cozy pubs, indulge in fresh local seafood, and experience the renowned Irish welcome. DAY 5 - Westport - Delphi

Cycle along the Wild Atlantic way to Old Head Beach for beautiful views of the bay before turning south through the scenic Doolough Valley. Nestled in the heart of the Delphi Valley, Delphi Lodge is a stunning country house offering an unforgettable Irish retreat. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of Connemara, this historic 19th-century fishing lodge is perfect for those who appreciate luxury, nature, and tranquility.

DAY 6 - Delphi - Ballynahinch

After a hearty breakfast at Delphi Lodge depart for the coastal cycle along one of the most breathtaking routes in Ireland, offering stunning views of the Atlantic coastline, rugged mountains, and serene countryside. The route is known for its wild beauty and vast open landscapes dotted with sheep. As you approach the village of Letterfrack, you will see Connemara National Park, home to the majestic Diamond Hill, a great place for a short hike if you want to stretch your legs. Visit the famous Kylemore Abbey with its historic chapel and Victorian 19th century gardens. The cycle then continues into the vibrant town of Clifden, often referred to as the Capital of Connemara. Here, you can soak in the lively atmosphere and enjoy an authentic traditional Irish music session in one of its welcoming pubs. Continue your adventure to the magnificent Ballynahinch Castle, your home for the next two nights. Nestled within a 700-acre estate of woodland, rivers, and mountains, this historic castle offers the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility.

DAY 7 - Ballynahinch Loops

You will have the opportunity to visit the charming fishing village of Roundstone, a picture-perfect coastal town that has long been a haven for artists and writers. Stroll along its quaint harbour, where traditional Galway Hooker boats bob in the water, and explore its local craft shops, art galleries and seafood restaurants serving the freshest catch of the day. Just a short ride from Roundstone, is Dog’s Bay Beach, often regarded as one of Ireland’s most breathtaking and unspoiled beaches. With its pristine white sand—composed of tiny, crushed seashells rather than rock—and crystal-clear turquoise waters, Dog’s Bay could easily be mistaken for a tropical paradise. After a day of adventure, return to the luxurious Ballynahinch Castle, nestled in a stunning 700-acre estate of woodland, rivers, and mountains.

DAY 8 - Departure - transfer to Airport

Comfortable, strong and stable bikes combined with a quiet, powerful Bosch motor and a fully integrated high-capacity battery ensure many miles of care-free cycling. On a full charge they are good for 80km+.

The hotel owns the rights to the river and fly-fishing for salmon and sea-trout is very popular. It has won many awards for the cuisine, the service and is just simply stunning, yet still very relaxed.
